Paint is one of the indispensable materials in the home decoration process. In recent years, with the continuous improvement of people’s lives and the rising popularity of environmental protection, people are demanding more and more decorative paints.
The water-based paint uses clean water as a diluent, which is safe, healthy, and environmentally friendly and will not be harmful to human health. The oil-based paint uses banana water and thinner as a diluent and contains a large number of toxic and harmful substances, such as benzene, formaldehyde, toluene, xylene, and Its derivatives and so on.
In fact, the fundamental difference between water-borne paints and oil-based paints is that the solvents are different. One is water, the other is banana water and Tinner Water.
Of course, this also leads to some differences in other aspects of water-based and oil-based paints:
1. Environmental protection
Water-based paint uses water as a dilution solvent and has a very low VOC content. It is a non-toxic, odorless, environmentally friendly paint. Oil paint is banana water, thinner with thinner, containing benzene, formaldehyde, toluene, xylene and its derivatives, with greater toxicity.
The water-based paint is diluted with water and has good nonflammability and is more safe. Oil paint contains highly flammable components such as benzene, xylene, acetone, solvent gasoline and thinner, which are highly flammable and have poor safety.
3. Stimulating smell
The water-based paint does not produce any irritating odor, while the oil-based paint contains an organic solvent and has a pungent odor which is detrimental to the human body.
4. Construction performance
Water-based paint construction is simple and there are no special requirements. Oil paint must be professional construction personnel to paint, construction is more difficult and professional requirements are higher.
